Within the Trees

A phone call  leads a group of three friends to a nearby forest in search of their friend, Caleb, who has gone missing. Little do they know, there is more than just Caleb wandering the woods. Explore the woods and solve puzzles in order to find Caleb, uncover truths, and escape the forest and whatever else lurks within.  

Play a regular mode, or a slightly longer story mode and make decisions that will decide your fate. Your actions will lead to one of over five unique endings. Replay to discover them all. 

Controls:

W,A,S,D ...........walk 

E..................open inventory

 R..................open/close clue notes

Arrow keys................flip pages of books, see different clues in clue tab

You will need to use your mouse to interact and drag components of some puzzles.

Press key indicated to make decisions or to leave screens

Ex. 1. Yes  2. No 

Pressing 1 on the keyboard will result in a decision of yes

Common problems:

-If you cannot drag a component, try clicking and dragging different areas surrounding the object. If that does not work, try to exit the UI screen if possible, or move your character. 

-Arrow keys are used to scroll through books and the clue tab when multiple pages are available

-If the frog animation looks jumpy on the creek, leave the creek , wait and return after about 30 seconds to a minute to allow the animation to reset

Developer Notes:

This is only my second game and all development, design and artwork is by only me. I am still fairly new and by no means an artist, but please enjoy nonetheless! Any feedback would be much appreciated.
